09: Double Trouble

In this week's issue: double the trouble with two dogs this week, skateboarding Corgis, and scoops more.

This week I had double the trouble as I was dogsitting my parent's Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, while they were off enjoying something called a holiday.

I must admit, taking care of two dogs is a lot of work. Imagine what you do for your dog, and now double it.

Some of the usual dog dad duties like feeding and potty time were a breeze, both Luna and my parent's dog are toilet trained so that was easy enough.

It was exercise and playtime that got me in a rut. Luna is very young in comparison to Tilly whose now over 12 years old, so there were some speed challenges when walking both together.

Luna likes to walk at a pace that Tilly just can't handle with her little legs anymore, but as soon as we made it to the park Luna was able to run around like a loon.

Right now, I'm not ready to be a dog dad to more than one pup, but who knows what the future has in store for me.

If you're just starting out as a dog dad, my best piece of advice, stick to one doggo for now.

That's all for this week, folks.

See you next week!

The boom in UK Dog Fertility Clinics

Spurred by the Covid-19 pandemic, there's now a boom of Dog Fertility Clinics in the UK... and I'm not sure how I feel about it. On one hand, this could be a brilliant scientific way of bringing breeds back to much healthier levels, on the other, left unregulated it can be exploited by people looking to make quick £!

Worlds Largest Bacteria is Visible to the Human Eye

"If you were the size of a typical bacterium, encountering T. magnifica would be like coming across someone as tall as Mt. Everest."

What a crazy image. Scientists have recently discovered a new bacterium, which can be seen without a microscope. It can grow up to 1cm in length, which is larger than a typical fruit fly. I feel a bit sick, I wouldn't want to come across one of those.

Poodles can Play and Sing Piano

This will certainly perk up your Sunday. A Poodle's owner was able to secretly film their dog playing the piano and singing at the same time. I'm not sure if the Poodle can hold a note, but it was enjoyable nonetheless.
